Bloomberg has learned about the lifting of U.S. restrictions on exports to China

The United States has lifted some restrictions on the export of software for chip design to China. This was reported by Bloomberg on July 3.
"The administration of [US President Donald] The Trump administration has lifted at least some export license requirements for the sale of chip design software in China...> The US Department of Commerce has informed <...> the German company Siemens AG that the requirements for obtaining government licenses to do business in China are no longer valid. <...> The company said it had already restored access to its products to Chinese customers," the publication says.
It is clarified that American officials imposed export restrictions in response to China's actions, which limited the supply of important rare earth minerals. Following last week's trade agreement, Washington promised to allow the supply of software for the design of microchips, as well as ethane and jet engines to China, if Beijing fulfills a promise to accelerate the approval of exports of critical minerals.
On May 30, Trump said that China had completely violated the agreement with the United States on the reduction of mutual duties. On May 12, the United States and China agreed to suspend the customs tariff for 90 days, while maintaining the 10 percent tariff. It was clarified that after the implementation of the measures discussed between the countries, the parties will continue negotiations on trade and economic relations.
