The crew of the D-30 cannon destroyed a mortar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region

The crew of the D-30 artillery piece of the Guards motorized Rifle division of the Dnepr group of forces destroyed a mortar of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Orekhovsky direction in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on July 3 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that the artillery strike on the camouflaged mortar crew of the Ukrainian militants was corrected by the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

"The mortar crew was hit <...>, four shells were fired, three hit the target, and the birds immediately flew, as if they had to take cover," said the gunner with the call sign Bost.

The gunners of the Dnepr group of forces constantly carry out firing tasks and suppress artillery batteries and control points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as destroy firepower, ammunition depots, weapons, equipment and personnel of the Ukrainian militants.

On June 2, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the calculation of the self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) 2S19 "Msta-S" of the Center group of forces destroyed the camouflaged command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army area of the special operation. In addition, enemy fortifications and firing points were also destroyed during the combat operation.
