The Armenia faction promised all possible support to Karapetyan

The Armenia faction is doing everything possible within its powers to protect the arrested head of the Tashir Group of companies, philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan. This was stated on July 2 by a member of the faction, MP Garnik Danielyan.

"We support any person who is a victim of repression. We stand next to the Armenian Apostolic Church <...> Within the limits of our powers, within the limits of our capabilities, we will do everything," he said.

According to him, the faction's activities are open to everyone, so the public can decide for themselves what is "good" and what is "bad."

On June 17, law enforcement officers tried to detain Karapetyan for speaking out in support of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC). His house in Yerevan was searched, and several people were detained. The philanthropist's lawyer Liana Gasparyan announced on June 18 that the Yerevan court had arrested him for two months.
