A shooting has occurred in one of the shopping malls in Savannah, Georgia, injuring at least six people, one of them in critical condition. This was reported on July 2 by the WSAV-TV channel, citing police and ambulance data.

"Several people were injured as a result of the shooting at the Oglethorpe mall. <...> Savannah police officer Lenny Gunter reported that three people received gunshot wounds: two young men and one minor," the publication says.

It is specified that two groups of unknown persons opened fire at about 17:45 (July 3, 00:45 Moscow time). According to Gunther, it started inside the building and then continued outside.

Representatives of the ambulance service reported that at least six people were injured, but not all of them were injured by firearms. One of the injured is in critical condition.

Employees of the shopping center told the TV channel that they were hiding at the scene of the incident. It is specified that a large number of police officers arrived in the area, as well as forces from several departments.

On June 30, a shooting occurred in Idaho, in which two firefighters were killed and several others were injured. It was clarified that an unknown person was shooting at the law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene with a "powerful rifle."
