The media learned about Trump's upcoming summit with African leaders

US President Donald Trump will hold a summit with African leaders next week, the Semafor portal reported on Wednesday, July 2.
According to him, the summit will be held from July 9 to 11. It will be attended by the heads of States such as Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania and Senegal.
The leaders are expected to focus on the economic opportunities of the United States in the field of strategic minerals in West Africa, as well as discuss regional security issues, the publication says.
The upcoming meeting is likely to take place against the background of active diplomatic cooperation between the United States and African countries, which began after Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) signed a peace treaty with the mediation of the United States, the portal notes.
The Washington Post reported on May 14 that the White House had banned US agencies from working at the G20 summit in South Africa because of the "anti-American" land expropriation law.
