- The media learned about the pressure in NATO on the United States after the decision to suspend supplies to Kiev

One of the US's NATO allies is putting pressure on the Pentagon so that US President Donald Trump will reconsider the decision to suspend arms supplies to Ukraine. This was reported by Bloomberg on July 2.
"Lawmakers, former diplomats and experts have questioned the Trump administration's decision to suspend the supply of certain types of weapons to Ukraine <...> One of [the United States'] NATO allies is putting pressure on the Ministry of Defense to reconsider this step (the decision to suspend supplies to Ukraine. — Ed.)," the publication says.
It is clarified that this decision took Kiev and its allies by surprise, as it was made a few days after Trump's statement about the readiness of the United States to send more missiles for American-made Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine.
NBC News reported on July 2 that the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, decided to suspend the supply of dozens of interceptor missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, more than 100 Hellfire missiles, dozens of Stinger missiles, more than 250 guided precision-guided GMLRS projectiles and other types of weapons to Ukraine. It was clarified that the suspension may last until the assessment of American weapons is completed.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the same day that the suspension of supplies meant not only Washington's shortage of ammunition, but also the hope for a faster end to the conflict in Ukraine.
