A resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region was detained for passing information to the SBU

A resident of the Nizhny Novgorod region was detained for transmitting limited information about an industrial enterprise in the regional center to an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). This was reported on July 2 in the FSB department for the region.

"It has been established that the suspect, acting intentionally, for ideological reasons, decided to establish cooperation on a confidential basis with the special service of Ukraine acting against the security of the Russian Federation," RIA Novosti quoted the agency's statement.

It is specified that the attacker collected and transmitted photographic images of the infrastructure facilities of the regional defense enterprise, its coordinates and information about the air defense forces (air defense), which provided its protection from Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). A search was conducted at the suspect's place of residence. The investigative department of the FSB in the region has opened a criminal case under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "High treason".

The person involved in the attack on airfields turned out to be associated with the candidate for the post of Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

On the same day, the FSB directorate for the Tomsk region announced the detention of a resident of the region for handing over to the special services of Ukraine photographs of military installations that he was going to use in planning and committing sabotage and terrorist attacks.
