On July 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense spoke about the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of a special military operation (SVO).

Thus, the ministry noted the actions of the guard of Junior Sergeant Artyom Bryakotnin, who, as part of a howitzer self-propelled artillery battalion, carried out a combat mission to provide fire support to Russian troops attacking the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

While performing a combat mission, Bryakotnin discovered an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle in the sky above Russian positions. Despite the threat of artillery fire, the Russian fighter immediately got his bearings and hit the drone with small arms fire. As a result, the enemy drone lost control and fell into the field.

The Ministry of Defense also drew attention to the actions of the guard of Junior Sergeant Anton Padurin. The soldier acted as part of an assault unit, which managed to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian militants at a strategically important line, gain a foothold in positions and hold them until the main forces approach.

While on the defensive, Padurin and his comrades destroyed more than 10 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters in close combat. In addition, during the battle, a Russian serviceman personally adjusted the artillery fire of the Russian Armed Forces on Ukrainian positions, which forced the enemy to suffer losses and then retreat.

The brave and selfless actions of the guard of Junior Sergeant Anton Padurin made it possible to fulfill the assigned combat mission and create conditions for the further successful advance of the Russian troops.
