- The US State Department denied the termination of aid to Kiev amid the suspension of supplies

The suspension of the supply of American weapons to Ukraine does not mean that Washington refuses to support Kiev. This was announced on July 2 by the official representative of the US State Department, Tammy Bruce.
"We are not stopping the supply of weapons to Ukraine, only one aspect has changed, one situation. I emphasize that this does not mean the cessation of assistance and arms supplies to Ukraine," she said during a briefing for journalists.
According to her, the American side has not stopped supplying weapons, and this case is an isolated one. In addition, she noted that this situation should not further affect the negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
In addition, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell called the suspension of arms supplies to Kiev a manifestation of common sense. In his opinion, this is a pragmatic step.
"We see this as a [manifestation of] common sense, a pragmatic step towards creating a structure to assess which ammunition is being sent and where," Parnell told reporters during a briefing.
The Pentagon also refused to specify information about how much and what types of ammunition the United States continues to send to Ukraine.
The Washington Post reported on the same day that Ukrainian officials were at a loss after the unexpected US decision to suspend the supply of ammunition for air defense systems to Kiev.
As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented, the suspension of United States supplies of ammunition to Ukraine means not only Washington's shortage of them, but also the hope for a faster end to the special military operation.
