Two people have died as a result of a severe forest fire in Spain. This was reported on July 2 by the NTN24 TV channel.

It is specified that the dead were farm workers. According to the TV channel, due to large-scale forest fires, the authorities evacuated 14 thousand people in Catalonia.

It is reported that the forest fires had "very strong and unpredictable characteristics" and spread at a record speed for Europe.

On May 14, CTV reported that two people had died in the Canadian province of Manitoba due to wildfires. About a thousand people were forced to leave their homes.
