- The US State Department called the termination of Iran's cooperation with the IAEA unacceptable.

The United States considers the termination of Iran's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) unacceptable. This was announced on July 2 at a briefing by the press secretary of the United States Department of State, Tammy Bruce.
"We use the word "unacceptable" [to say] that Iran has decided to suspend cooperation with the IAEA," she said, her speech was broadcast on the State Department's YouTube channel.
According to Bruce, the American side demands that the Islamic Republic immediately restore cooperation with the agency.
On July 1, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian issued a decree suspending the state's cooperation with the IAEA. At the same time, the deputy head of the Iranian judiciary commented on the possibility of a trial in absentia against the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi. According to him, "this issue belongs to international affairs and should be dealt with through appropriate channels."
