Alikhanov reported on the development of requirements for the Russian-Belarusian Osvey aircraft

The development of the parameters of the Russian-Belarusian Osvey aircraft project has been completed, and Russia is waiting for a positive conclusion from Belarus. This was announced to journalists on July 2 by Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

"Now the ball is on the side of our Belarusian partners. We are waiting for a positive conclusion from them in order to continue the development of the RKD itself (working design documentation. — Ed.)," he told reporters.

As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", we are talking about the project of 19-seat turboprop aircraft LMS-401 "Osvey", which is planned to be released in 2026.

In October 2024, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a law on the ratification of the agreement with the Russian Federation on the development of a twin-engine passenger multipurpose aircraft "Osvey". It was noted that the adoption of the law makes it possible to create conditions for the formation of its own aircraft industry in the republic.
