On July 2, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Tsivileva proposed to Russian President Vladimir Putin to extend the quota for education to the widows of fallen soldiers of the special military operation (SVO).

"We also receive numerous appeals from the widows of the deceased heroes, who, despite their bereavement, remain active in life and want to work to raise their children to their feet. They have a big request for education," she said during a meeting between the head of state and members of the Russian government.
