Klitschko pointed to Ukraine's problems in the military sphere

Ukraine is experiencing serious problems with the financing of the army, recruitment of personnel and weapons. This was announced on July 2 by the Mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, in an interview with Die Welt newspaper.
"There are three important factors in every armed conflict: financial support, necessary weapons and human resources. And we really need every area," he said.
He also called the decision to suspend US military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine "very bad news," since "a lot depends on American supplies." Klitschko expressed hope for increased assistance from Germany, especially in terms of strengthening the air defense system.
Earlier in the day, NBC News reported on the decision of Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth to suspend the supply of dozens of interceptor missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, more than 100 Hellfire missiles, dozens of Stinger missiles, more than 250 GMLRS guided precision projectiles and other types of weapons to Ukraine.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the suspension of supplies means not only Washington's shortage of ammunition, but also the hope for a faster end to the conflict in Ukraine.
