The Karamzin Library in Kurgan will be renovated this year.

In 2025, the Nikolai Karamzin Library, which is located in a building built in the late 1940s, will be comprehensively renovated in the Severny microdistrict in Kurgan. The city administration reports this in its Telegram channel.

Funds have also been allocated from the federal budget. They will be used to purchase interactive and computer equipment, furniture, and to replenish the book collection.
Work in the wooden building has already begun, according to the <url> news agency. The contractor dismantled the partitions, completed wall, floor and ceiling cladding, replaced water pipes, plumbing, heating and sewerage systems, as well as windows.
Comprehensive repairs are carried out within the framework of the national project "Family". The work is scheduled to be completed this fall.
