Reconstruction of the Oryol overpass starts in Tula this week

Tula plans to begin reconstruction of the Oryol overpass this week. In this regard, temporary traffic restrictions will be introduced, according to the city administration.

"Since July 5, Tula has been starting the reconstruction of the Oryol overpass along Lenin Avenue through Ryazanskaya Street. The contractor was determined during the auction," the message says.

The work, divided into two stages, will be performed by UPMK-22 LLC. The first stage includes the repair of the overpass adjacent to the Kaluga Highway. At the second stage, which will be implemented in 2026, the work will be transferred to the side of Ryazanskaya Street.

According to TSN24, road restrictions will be introduced during the reconstruction. Appropriate signs will be installed at the entrances to the repair sites. The city authorities urge motorists to plan their route in advance.

The reconstruction of the Oryol overpass is scheduled to be completed in October 2026.
