In Germany, they told about the critically low number of ammunition stocks in Ukraine

Ukraine has enough ammunition only until the end of the summer, so without the help of the United States, the situation may become critical. This was reported to Bild newspaper on July 2 by Carlo Masala, a military expert and professor at the Bundeswehr University in Munich.
According to the professor, all supplies of weapons systems are critically important for Kiev. The expert noted that Ukraine has enough reserves only until the end of summer.
"There may be a critical gap until Europe tries to fill it somehow," Masala said.
As noted by military affairs specialist Nico Lange, Europe was hoping for US military assistance, but American leader Donald Trump was not going to follow the plan of European leaders.
"Trump was never going to do this, <...> but the Europeans did not want to admit it," the publication quotes the expert as saying.
Earlier in the day, Politico newspaper reported on the decision of the head of the Pentagon's political department, Elbridge Colby, to suspend supplies of anti-aircraft missiles and other precision-guided munitions to Kiev "due to concerns that US weapons stocks have decreased too much." According to the newspaper, the decision was made in early June, but it came into force only this month.
As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented, the suspension of United States supplies of ammunition to Ukraine means not only Washington's shortage of them, but also the hope for a faster end to the special military operation (SVO).
