- Nabiullina announced the completion of the adaptation of the Russian economy to external changes

The adaptation of the Russian economy to external changes has come to an end. This was announced on July 2 by the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina, during the plenary session of the Financial Congress of the regulator.
"In my opinion, the structural adaptation to external constraints has basically been completed. That is, we have shown that we are able to adapt to this," Nabiullina said.
In particular, speaking about financial adaptation, the head of the Central Bank stressed that the Russian economy needed to change its development model and rely on internal sources of financing. According to her, the country's financial system has passed this test by increasing the volume of lending to enterprises.
"We have very turbulent times ahead, but I am sure that these are new opportunities for development, for productivity growth in conditions of expensive labor," she added.
On May 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia's economic stability had largely become possible thanks to the active support of the business community. The Russian leader said that despite all the difficulties and the so—called external pressure, last year Russia still managed to achieve significant growth, both for the country and for the global economy.
