HC Spartak has signed a new contract with head coach Alexei Zhamnov

Spartak Hockey Club from Moscow has signed a new contract with the team's head coach Alexei Zhamnov. This was announced on the team's website on July 2.

"A new agreement has been signed for three years, until the end of the 2027/28 season!" the message says.

It is noted that under Zhamnov's leadership, the club reached the second round of the Gagarin Cup two seasons in a row. Spartak also became the champion of the Bobrov division.

Prior to Spartak, Zhamnov led the Russian national team from 2021 to 2023, reaching the finals of the Olympic tournament in Beijing in 2022.

On June 3, it became known that Vyacheslav Kozlov became the new head coach of the Sochi hockey club. As an assistant coach, he was a member of the headquarters of Spartak, Avangard, Kunlun Red Star and Dynamo Moscow.
