Landscape fire in Crimea has been completely extinguished


Near Alushta in the Republic of Crimea, a landscape fire was completely eliminated on an area of 8.1 hectares. This was announced on Wednesday, June 2, by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.
"The landscape fire in the Lazurny settlement area of the Alushta city district has been completely eliminated. As a result of clarifying the information, the fire area was 8.1 hectares," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is specified that 639 people and 111 pieces of equipment, including two Mi-8 helicopters of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, took part in extinguishing the fire.
The fire in Alushta became known earlier that day. It was clarified that the extinguishing is complicated by inaccessible terrain, rocky massif, gusty winds up to 12 m/s. Later, the fire area increased to 5 hectares. Then the fire was localized.
