- An employee of a company from the Kaliningrad region stole 30 million rubles from the Ministry of Defense

In the Kaliningrad region, the head of the production and dismantling department of Baltika Plus Outpost JSC stole 30 million rubles from the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was reported on June 2 in the press service of the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).
"A criminal case has been opened against Evgeny Kononov, head of the production and dismantling department of Baltika Plus Outpost JSC," the Telegram channel says.
It is specified that a contract was signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the company "Outpost of the Baltic Plus" for the performance of dismantling works. However, the suspect entered false information about the cost and scope of work in the documentation. As a result of these actions, the defendant stole 30 million rubles from the monetary budget.
Kononov was charged with fraud on a particularly large scale.
"Military investigators are conducting investigative actions aimed at collecting and consolidating evidence," the ministry added.
The day before, a court in Moscow found Timur Ivanov guilty and sentenced him to 13 years in a general regime penal colony in the case of embezzlement of funds from the Intercommerce bank and embezzlement of money when buying ferries for the Kerch ferry. According to investigators, the defendants stole funds from the bank "Intercommerce" when buying the ferries "Agios Laurentius" and "Maria Elena" for the Kerch ferry.
