The UK has opened a case on abuse of authority by the Deputy Minister of Construction of the CBD

A criminal case has been opened against the Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) on abuse of official authority (Part 1 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was announced on July 2 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the CBD.

According to investigators, in December 2024, employees of the Department of regional State Construction Supervision conducted unscheduled inspections in 13 newly built apartment buildings in Nalchik for compliance with design documentation. During them, significant violations were discovered, which did not allow the issuance of permits for the commissioning of facilities.

However, the suspect, then holding the position of head of the department, gave illegal instructions to subordinates to write down false information in the documents that the constructed facilities meet all the requirements.

"On the basis of these documents with false information entered in them, the local administration of Nalchik issued permits for the commissioning of buildings. The materials that served as the basis for initiating a criminal case were received from the Federal Security Service of Russia for the CBD," the agency's Telegram channel says.

The investigation continues to collect evidence in the case and establishes other possible facts of violation of the law by the person involved.

On June 24, the investigation of the criminal case of fraud against Pavel Flori, director of the Black Sea Fleet ship repair plant, was completed. It was noted that from September to November 2023, the defendant, together with representatives of the sole proprietor, knowingly provided false information in the documentation on the cost of equipment. This allowed them to steal more than 4 million rubles from the budget.
