A contractor has been selected for the construction of the Surikov Center in Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk, a contractor was chosen for the construction of the Surikov Center. The contract was signed with LLC "Pskov Kraspromstroy". The cost of the work will exceed 400 million rubles.

The contractor must build a two-storey building with a basement, which will house a foyer, a temporary exhibition hall, a printing house, a closed storage facility, technical rooms and a cloakroom. On the ground floor there will be an exhibition hall with the main exhibition, a lobby and staff offices. The second floor will be given over to a cafe, a media room, a hall, a library, a workshop and a lecture hall.

Construction of the Surikov Center is scheduled to begin on August 1. According to Sergey Shikunov, head of the Urban Planning Department, quoted by KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, this deadline was not chosen by chance, since archaeological excavations were previously underway at the site, and various scenarios had to be considered.

In July, materials for the construction site will be brought to the site, and excavation work will begin.
The agency notes that the construction of the Surikov Center will be part of Krasnoyarsk's preparations for its 400th anniversary. The cultural space is scheduled to open its doors in 2027.
