Over the past 313 accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 31 people were killed and 352 injured. This was reported to Izvestia on July 2 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. 28 of the dead were passengers and drivers, the ministry said.

11 accidents involving buses were recorded, 15 of which required medical assistance. Six bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by drivers of other vehicles.

As a result of 72 accidents, 30 of which occurred at pedestrian crossings and 42 outside their area of operation, three pedestrians were killed, and 71 more were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured were 15 child pedestrians, nine of whom were injured when crossing the roadway outside the designated areas.

Over the past day, 52 accidents involving minors were registered in Russia, in which 51 young road users were injured, including 15 passengers, nine cyclists and 10 motor transport drivers. Three children were killed, two of whom were driving a motorcycle.

In one of the villages of the Saratov region, a 16-year-old schoolboy who does not have a driver's license, driving a moped that his parents bought as a gift, did not give way to a passenger car traveling in the same direction and collided with it. As a result of the accident, the teenager died.

In the Vladimir region, in a village, a 15-year-old teenager, who also did not have a driver's license, lost control of a motorcycle belonging to his stepfather, drove off the road and overturned. The deceased student was driving a motorcycle without a helmet and protective gear.

In Dagestan, the driver of a passenger car, exceeding the speed allowed in the village, lost control and crashed into the wall of a house, which collapsed on a five-year-old girl. As a result of the accident, a child was crushed by a collapsed wall, and two passengers of the car, including the five-year-old son of the culprit of the accident, who was in the car without a child safety seat, were injured.

The State Traffic Inspectorate urges parents to strictly monitor and prevent attempts by children and teenagers to get behind the wheel on their own, as well as to exclude for them the possibility of accessing the keys of cars, mopeds and motorcycles, prohibiting the management of cars and motor vehicles without the appropriate right and driving skills. The department reminds parents of a fine of 30 thousand rubles for allowing children who do not have a driver's license of the appropriate category to drive a car and motor vehicles.

"The lack of control over the behavior and leisure of children, especially in the evening, often leads to injuries or deaths of young road users. Driver's discipline is especially necessary if there are child passengers in the car interior, who should be transported in compliance with all applicable safety requirements," said Police Colonel Sergey Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child Traffic Injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

Earlier, it became known that by the end of last year, 55.1 million traffic violations were recorded in Russia. Most of the offenses (93%, or 238.6 million cases) were detected by complexes of photo-video recording of traffic violations.
