The identities of the Russians arrested in Baku have become known

The Sabail District Court of Baku has arrested for four months eight Russian citizens detained on charges of organizing drug trafficking from Iran and cyber fraud. This was reported by the APA news agency on July 1.

According to a number of media reports, the detainees left Russia in 2022, moving to Azerbaijan, where they soon faced serious problems. Among them are IT specialists, former employees of large Russian companies and tourists.

The suspects are Valery Dulov, a former employee of Russian oil companies, Dmitry Bezugly, an ex—employee of large IT corporations, Sergey Sofronov, an IT specialist, Alexey Vasilchenko, a psychologist and traveler, Alexander Vaisero, a tourist, Dmitry Fedorov, a student, and Anton Drachev, an IT specialist.

On June 14, police detained a Russian deported from the United States who was on the international wanted list at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport. According to preliminary information, in November 2017, a man driving a car ran over a pedestrian in Irkutsk, who died from injuries sustained as a result of an accident. A criminal case was opened into the incident.
