The US strikes have caused serious damage to Iran's nuclear facilities. This was stated on July 2 in an interview with CBS News by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi.

"The United States has caused serious damage to nuclear facilities," Araqchi said.

He noted that Iran's nuclear program will continue to be exclusively peaceful. In addition, the diplomat stressed that he doubts a quick resumption of negotiations with the United States, but does not abandon this idea in the future.

On June 29, Araqchi said that the UN Security Council should hold Israel and the United States accountable for the act of aggression against Iran and oblige them to pay compensation. According to Araqchi, the Security Council must prevent the recurrence of such grave crimes.

Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen, a political scientist, said on June 30 that US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities were illegal from an international point of view. According to him, Israel's conduct of the operation may be related to the desire to enlist the support of the United States.
