The Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg sentenced Vladimir Burdin, co-founder of the Semantic Hallucinations rock band, to three years in prison in a case of intentional infliction of serious harm to health. This was reported on June 2 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
It is specified that the prosecution requested four years in a penal colony.
The musician was detained in November 2024. According to the victim Alexei Krivokorytov, during a feast in the apartment of their mutual acquaintance with Burdin, he was stabbed in the side with a kitchen knife. At the same time, Krivokorytov noted that he did not remember who had wounded him.
In May 2018, Burdin stabbed a store customer. The Lefortovo court of Moscow released him from punishment and sent him to a psychiatric hospital for treatment. According to Burdin, he went into the store with his wife when they were accosted by three men. The musician stated that one of the visitors was drunk and began to threaten him and his wife with violence. Then Burdin grabbed a knife in the household department and stabbed the offender with it.
