Three local residents were detained in the Zaporizhia region on suspicion of financing the Ukrainian special services and the armed forces (AFU). This was reported on July 2 at the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC).

"In the territory of the Zaporizhia region, the activities of individuals who transferred funds to the Ukrainian special services and the armed forces of Ukraine were identified and suppressed," the agency said in a statement.

It is specified that two residents of Melitopol and the village of Malaya Belozerka in the Vasilyevsky district of the Zaporizhia region, as well as a resident of Energodar, transferred money to "settlement accounts used by the Ukrainian special services and the Armed Forces of Ukraine." The Investigative Department initiated criminal cases under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("High treason").

"Confessions have been received from the detainees, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for them," the ministry added.

On June 30, two Crimean residents were detained for filming Russian military equipment for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). According to the agency, they sent the materials captured on the instructions of the curators to the bot for subsequent use in the interests of foreign intelligence.
