- A captured militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told about the transfer of medics to assault troops.

A captured militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Andrei Gavletsky, said that he initially served as a medic, but then he was transferred to an assault squad. The footage was distributed by the Russian Ministry of Defense on July 2.
It is specified that Havletsky initially served as a medic in the 24th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, after the new battalion commander arrived, he was transferred to the assault troops, so he decided to desert.
"He (the commander — Ed.) threw them there to hold the defense. There weren't many people, there weren't many anymore. The units were no longer whole," said the prisoner.
Later, he was caught by employees of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analog of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) and sent to the 156th separate mechanized brigade, where he again became a medic. When Galitsky was sent to evacuate the wounded from positions already occupied by Russian troops, he was captured.
"We have received a task <...> pick up three three hundredths. It turned out that Russian military personnel were already there at this point. We were not aware of this. They started working on us, we ran out of the car, started hiding in the bushes, hid in the basement, then came out of the basement, surrendered, as Russian soldiers came," he said.
Earlier, on June 25, captured Ukrainian militant Anton Aleksenko told how ordinary soldiers were being deceived by the command and about their attempts to defect. He stated that the staff of the shopping mall picked him up when he was walking down the street. Later, he tried to defect from the training ground where he was being trained.
