Actor Vitaly Gogunsky was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison in Ukraine.


The Vinnytsia City Court of Ukraine sentenced actor Vitaly Gogunsky to 12 years in prison in absentia. This is stated in the court's decision.
"The court ruled <...> determine the penalty in the form of 12 years in prison with the deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the organization and conduct of political events for a period of 12 years," TASS quoted materials from the document on July 2.
In addition, Gogunsky was sentenced to confiscation of all property, as well as to recover $380 from the actor in favor of Ukraine "for spending on the examination."
On June 18, it was reported that Russian singer Grigory Leps was put on the wanted list in Ukraine. The singer was accused of supporting a special military operation (SVO) and pointed to his promise of payments to Russian servicemen for every tank destroyed by Ukrainian militants.
