More than 35,000 homes in eastern Australia were left without electricity due to strong winds and heavy rains. This was reported by ABC News channel.

"About 35,000 homes and businesses remain without electricity, and the New South Wales Emergency Service has responded to almost 3,000 incidents and calls for help over the past 24 hours," the publication says.

It is specified that the central and southern coasts of New South Wales were affected by the cyclone, 130 mm of precipitation fell in some places overnight. There are flood risks, downed trees and damaged power lines.

In addition, the TV channel indicated that the operation of the Sydney International Airport was disrupted due to bad weather. Dozens of departing flights have been canceled or delayed, and bad weather will continue to affect the schedule.

On June 18, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy reported that almost the entire Bishkek and the adjacent Chui region were left without electricity. It is specified that the reason for the blackout was "technical problems."
