Calgary Flames announce contract with Russian goalkeeper Prosvetov

The Canadian hockey club (HC), playing in the National Hockey League (NHL) Calgary Flames, has signed a contract with Russian goalkeeper Ivan Prosvetov. This was announced on July 1 in the press service of HC.

"Today, the Calgary Flames announced the signing of a one—year contract with goalkeeper Ivan Prosvetov," reads a statement on the club's website.

It is noted that during this time Prosvetov, a 26-year-old native of Moscow, who played for CSKA of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) last season, will earn $ 950 thousand.

During the last regular season, the athlete played 38 matches with a result of 92% reflection of shots (he missed an average of 2.32 goals per game), and in five playoff games the percentage of reflection was 91.8% (2.9 goals).

In addition, the Russian goalkeeper participated in 24 NHL games for the Arizona Coyotes and Colorado Avalanche from 2021 to 2024, scoring eight victories. It is specified that in November last year, the goalkeeper won the KHL Goalkeeper of the Month award, having played five winning matches, three of which were dry.

On June 30, HC New York Islanders announced the signing of an eight-year contract with 25-year-old Russian hockey player Alexander Romanov, who scored 20 points based on the results of 64 games last season. Before starting his NHL career, he played for CSKA in the KHL.
