The Pentagon has allocated Lockheed Martin about $3 billion for Aegis missile defense development

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (LM RMS), a military industrial corporation, has received a 10-year contract to develop computer solutions to support the American Aegis missile defense system. This was announced on July 1 on the Pentagon's website.

"LM RMS will ensure the continued operation of Aegis. <...> will ensure that future research, concepts, and computer software development are carried out to achieve capability improvements at all stages of the fire control cycle (planning, detection, control, engagement, and evaluation)," the document says.

It is specified that all work under this contract for a maximum amount of $ 2.9 million will be carried out in the city of Moorestown in New Jersey. This agreement will last until June 2035.

On June 26, the Pentagon announced plans by the office of US President Donald Trump to allocate $3.4 billion in 2026 for the development of a new generation F-47 fighter jet.
