An Australian airline has suffered a serious cyberattack with a data leak

Australia's largest airline, Qantas, has been subjected to a cyberattack that could have resulted in a significant leak of some customer data. This was announced by the press service of the airline on the website.
"Qantas confirms that a cyber incident has occurred at one of our contact centers, affecting customer data. The threat has now been eliminated," the report says.
It is clarified that cybercriminals gained access to a client platform used in one of the Qantas call centers. According to the press service, the incident did not affect the airline's operations and does not pose a threat to flight safety.
At the same time, according to preliminary estimates, the scale of the leak may be significant. Experts found out that the attackers could take over the names, email addresses and phone numbers of customers. The actual amount of stolen information remains to be determined, the company added.
Ceske Noviny agency reported on April 8 that the account of Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala on the social network X (formerly Twitter) was attacked by hackers. According to the newspaper, they published a number of fake posts, including about the Russian army.
