Pet walking on Russian beaches will be prohibited from September 1 in accordance with the federal law "On the Safety of people on water bodies" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation. Alexander Khaminsky, a lawyer and head of the Law enforcement center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, recalled this on July 2.

The expert explained that the text of the document lists all the nuances of safe recreation in bathing areas, as well as highlights the requirements for behavior on beaches. In particular, bans on water pollution, pollution of the environment and bathing in a state of intoxication are prescribed. Among other things, as the lawyer added, Russians will be prohibited from walking animals on beaches.

"Animals can scare swimmers, bite, and perform natural functions. That is, in fact, the ban is caused by sanitary and epidemiological requirements and safety requirements in places of mass visits by people," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Khaminsky added that this bill will not apply to guide dogs and will be valid only on the territory of beaches, and not on the entire coastline of water bodies.

Lawyer Anastasia Bilyalova told on June 4 what responsibility would await the owners who left their pets in the car in the heat. The expert noted that if an animal left in a completely closed car is injured, a citizen will be fined.
