An explosion has occurred in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. This was announced on July 2 by the mayor Igor Terekhov.

"An explosion was heard in Kharkiv," a message on his Telegram channel said.

According to the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, an air alert was issued in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on this information.
