The calculation of the self-propelled gun "Msta-S" destroyed the command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army direction

The calculation of the self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) 2S19 "Msta-S" of the Center group of forces destroyed the camouflaged command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special operation. This was announced on July 2 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It was clarified that the object located in a deep dugout was used by the enemy to control assault units and unmanned aircraft. Intelligence received from the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Center group of forces allowed the gunners to identify the exact location of the enemy target. Then, several accurate 152-millimeter rounds were fired from a closed firing position at a distance of up to 20 km.

The scouts monitored the results of the fire damage in real time, confirming the complete destruction of the facility. In addition, during the combat work, the fortifications and firing points of the enemy, from which the defense of the command post was carried out, were destroyed. After completing the combat mission, the crew camouflaged the combat vehicle and took cover.

During the work, the UAV counteraction group conducted constant monitoring of the airspace to protect against possible attacks by enemy drones. Having lost control, the AFU formations lost coordination of actions, which allowed our troops to occupy advantageous positions for the further advancement of the group's units.

"We pay great attention to disguise, because if a car is seen even during the day, even at night, then there will simply be nothing left of it. Therefore, we try to update the disguise every couple of days," said Dmitry Ermolenko, commander of the cannon.

On July 1, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian military had destroyed an International MaxxPro armored vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Pisarevka, Sumy region. It was clarified that the car was discovered during reconnaissance by the calculation of the FPV drones of the Rubicon center.
