Israel agreed to terms for a 60-day cease-fire in the Gaza Strip during a meeting with representatives of the White House. This was announced on July 1 by US President Donald Trump.

"My representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis on Gaza. Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to complete the 60-day ceasefire," he wrote on his page on the Truth Social network.
