Analysts have found out how the prices of cocoa, tea and coffee in offline and online retail have changed over the year. So, according to the study "Contour. The market", in offline retail, coffee prices have increased the most. The drink went up in price by 27% to 379 rubles for a package of 150 g. At the same time, demand for it increased by 4%.

Cocoa prices rose by 31% over the year, to 168 rubles per 185 g package, while demand for the product decreased by 16%. Less noticeably, prices for tea increased by 9%. At the same time, retail demand sank by 17%.

As the analysts explained, such conclusions were made based on a study of more than 7 million checks punched by retail stores across the country in May-June 2024 and 2025.

A parallel study of the same products was conducted by Moneyplace experts on the largest marketplaces. According to these data, coffee on marketplaces has risen in price on average, as well as in retail — by a third. However, demand has almost doubled year—on-year, by 87.3%. Analysts have recorded a surge in interest in coffee in drip bags (+170.2%). Instant (+140%) and ground (+109%) coffee are also among the market leaders.

Cocoa and hot chocolate on marketplaces rose in price by an average of 11%. The demand for also increased year—on-year - by 31%.

Kirill Seleznev, an expert on the stock market of Grada Capital, on June 26 allowed a 10-20% decrease in coffee prices in the world by the end of this year. According to him, the key reason for the reduction in the cost of the product was the statements of coffee producers from Brazil about their expectation of favorable weather conditions. In addition, last year's increase in the price of the drink significantly reduced its availability, which led to a decrease in demand.
