Ukraine has significantly intensified attacks on Russian territory since the end of March this year. The intensity of shelling increased to 30% in some periods in the second quarter, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, told Izvestia.

"We have been recording (growth — Ed.) since the beginning of the agreements on the energy truce. From this moment on, we observe that Ukraine is beginning to increase the intensity of shelling. As a rule, it ranges from 10-20%, sometimes 25% and 30%, depending on the period," the diplomat said.

Recall that on March 18, the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, held a telephone conversation, during which they agreed on a 30-day moratorium on attacks on the energy infrastructure of Russia and Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow strictly abides by the ban on attacks, while Russian facilities continue to be attacked.

By its actions, Ukraine demonstrates a complete unwillingness to resolve the conflict, despite statements about its alleged desire for peace. Miroshnik noted that Kiev uses terrorist methods and is trying to create unbearable living conditions for the population, Miroshnik noted. One of the tracks they used was an increase in shelling, he added.

"They are trying in every possible way to use terrorist methods to start rocking the domestic agenda. But, as experience shows, it works more in the opposite direction. There are more demands for a tough response from the Ukrainian side," the diplomat stressed.

According to the weekly monitoring of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik, at least 22,000 rounds of ammunition were fired at civilian infrastructure facilities from January to March.

"The number of victims increased by 15-18% compared to the first quarter and the second. The intensity of attacks increased by about 300-400 arrivals per week. At first, we recorded 1.5–1.6 thousand per week, now it is 2-2.1 thousand, and sometimes 2.2 thousand," the ambassador noted.
