A pensioner gave almost 1.5 million rubles to fraudsters in the Lipetsk region

The police have opened a criminal case into fraud, which resulted in the injury of a 67-year-old resident of Yelets (Lipetsk region). The woman lost 1.45 million rubles.
According to the victim, she received a call from a man who introduced himself as a former supervisor. He said that an FSB officer should call the pensioner. On the next call, the interlocutor convinced the woman that she was allegedly suspected of complicity in a particularly serious crime. In order to avoid the "confiscation" of savings, the scammer suggested that the pensioner transfer the money to a "safe" account. This is reported by GOROD48.
The criminal case was initiated under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud").
In Khabarovsk, a pensioner gave more than 5 million rubles to telephone fraudsters. The attackers convinced the victim to "invest" money to generate passive income.
