A state of emergency has been introduced in the Pskov region due to waterlogging of the soil. More than 100 hectares of crops have already been lost.

According to the Pskov news feed, difficult meteorological conditions developed from May 18 to June 8. Weather conditions did not allow producers to fulfill the plan for sowing rapeseed and grain, as well as potatoes.

In the near future, the authorities will assess the damage and develop a set of measures to eliminate the consequences of waterlogging the soil.

Earlier in the day, an emergency regime was introduced in eight regions of Crimea due to severe soil drought.
