- The Ministry of Emergency Situations forces were alerted due to rising river levels in Transbaikalia

In the Trans-Baikal Territory, the forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, land and water equipment have been put on alert. The decision was made after meteorologists warned about a sharp rise in water levels in local rivers.
Fire and rescue garrisons are monitoring river levels. According to the ChitaMedia news agency, with reference to the press service of the department, the small rivers of the region are particularly dangerous — during heavy rainfall they quickly become full-flowing. It is precisely because of the rising water levels in them that in previous years the greatest damage was inflicted on settlements.
Anton Markelov, acting head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region, said that in 2021, the small Unda river turned into a bubbling stream in a few hours. People had to be evacuated from flooded houses and land plots.
Recommendations have been sent to rural administrations on checking the readiness of temporary accommodation facilities, holding meetings with local residents, and checking communication and notification systems.
Earlier it was reported that on June 30, almost 10% of the monthly precipitation rate, that is, 7 mm, fell in Moscow in a day. In the Moscow region, the most rains were recorded in Pavlovsky Posad — 11 mm, Dmitrov and Elektrostal — 10 mm.
