Construction of a new school has begun in the village of Oymur in Buryatia.

In Buryatia, construction has begun on a new 150-seat school in the village of Oymur, located in Kabansky district. This is reported by the Republican Administration of Capital Construction.

"Currently, work on the excavation has already begun at the site. The construction is scheduled to be completed next year," the report says.

The new school will consist of seven blocks of various storeys. Separate blocks will house senior and primary school classrooms, while the rest will be devoted to a dining room and library, an assembly hall and administrative offices, a sports hall, and a metal and wood workshop.

Preparations for construction work began in May. The contractor is Dom-2000 LLC. According to UlanMedia, the cost of the contract with the company amounted to more than 500 million rubles.

The only school in the village of Oymur is located in a building built more than a hundred years ago. The wooden structure is very dilapidated and is already in disrepair.
