In the Khabarovsk Territory, the Far Eastern Railway opened traffic on new tracks on the BAMA Soloni – Dusse-Alin stage. It appeared after the completion of the modernization of the Soloni – Naldy crossing and the connection to the Naldy–Dusse-Alin section, which was built in 2024. After the closure of the Naldy crossing, the total length of the connected stretch was 19 km.

About 13.3 km of new track was laid between the Soloni station and the Nalda crossing, and 10 switches were equipped. The site runs along the bed of the Soloni River, and berms, ditches, and drainage channels have been built to protect the tracks from flooding. Three bridges were also built and 11 culverts were reconstructed. In total, more than 400 thousand cubic meters of soil had to be processed, IA AmurMedia writes.

The new route passes through the foothills of the Bureinsky range. Experts have installed a protective mesh coating and stone-trapping walls to ensure the safety of trains and prevent landslides.

After completion of the work, the railway workers plan to release about 5.1 thousand chum salmon and Kaluga fry into local rivers, and plant more than 2 thousand pine seedlings.

The combined stage is located on the approach to the Dusse-Alinsky tunnel on the Novy Urgal–Komsomolsk-on-Amur line. Its construction should help increase the carrying capacity of the line and increase cargo transportation to the Pacific ports of the Far East.

At the end of May, it was reported about the launch of traffic on two tracks on two stages of BAM. The length of the Amgun — Sonakh and Pil — Mavrinsky sections is 16 km. The work was carried out by Bamstroymekhanizatsiya, which is part of Natsproektstroy.
