More than 2.8 thousand people were affected by ticks in Buryatia

In the territory of the Republic of Buryatia, more than 2.8 thousand people have been affected by the suction of ticks since the beginning of the season. This is reported by the republican Department of Rospotrebnadzor.
"As of July 1, 2025, 2,809 people have applied for medical help for tick bites. The conversion rate was 304.0 per 100,000 population," the report says.
According to UlanMedia, cases have been recorded in all regions of the republic, as well as in the vicinity of Ulan-Ude. Acaricide treatments are continuing in public places, summer health and educational institutions. To date, 3.19 thousand hectares have been treated from ticks.
In 2025, more than 88 thousand people were vaccinated against tick-borne encephalitis in Buryatia. 38 thousand of them are children.
On June 17, it was reported that 22.3 thousand residents had suffered from tick bites in the Sverdlovsk Region since the beginning of the season. The region has become the leader in the number of victims. In total, almost 310 thousand Russians turned to doctors with complaints of ticks.
