There is a traffic jam on the border with Kazakhstan due to the influx of people wishing to enter Russia. The Russian Embassy announced this on July 1.

"The increase in waiting time for border crossings (at the Zhaysan checkpoint) is caused by the influx of people wishing to enter the Russian Federation," the Telegram channel says.

In addition, it is noted that Russian border guards are making additional efforts to speed up security checkpoints.

As specified by "Gazeta.Ru" with reference to the diplomatic mission, reports of delays at the border due to an experiment on new rules of entry to Russia from June 30, 2025 have not been confirmed.

Earlier, on June 24, it was reported about the launch on June 30 of an experiment on the registration of citizens on the border of Russia and Kazakhstan. It involves entry into the Russian territory through the registration procedure in the unified identification and authentication system, as well as the provision of documents in electronic form from a mobile application.
