In the Omsk region, a 13-year-old teenager died after being poisoned while visiting his grandmother in Kalachinsk. This was announced on July 1 by the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the region in the Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, on June 28, the teenager and his five-year-old brother felt unwell, as a result of which the young man died, and his younger brother was hospitalized in intensive care.

It is noted that a criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").

Investigative actions are currently underway to determine the causes of the incident. Forensic medical examinations have also been scheduled.

Earlier that day, investigators opened a criminal case into the death of a girl as a result of poisoning at a summer camp in the Republic of Khakassia.
