The dealer advised to additionally protect the Chinese car after purchase

After buying a Chinese car, the owner should take care of its additional protection. One of the most important procedures is anti-corrosion treatment, said Vadim Strelbitsky, director of the Avilon Kia Mechanical Repair Department.
Anti-corrosion treatment of the bottom, sills, wheel arches and all seams will protect the body from the rapid appearance of rust, especially in conditions of Russian winters with aggressive reagents, the specialist explained.
"Very low—quality transmission oils are often found on all—wheel drive vehicles - we strongly recommend checking its condition already when running 2-3 thousand and replacing it if necessary," the Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted Strelbitsky as saying on July 1.
The specialist also advised to replace the engine oil and antifreeze, protect the paintwork with an anti-gravity film, check the electrics, suspension and tire quality in order to identify possible weaknesses in time.
Earlier that day, Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said that relatively new Chinese used cars were rapidly losing value. From January to June, such cars aged one to three years fell in price on the secondary market by an average of 10-15%.
On June 26, it was reported that in the first five months of 2025, sales of used passenger cars of Chinese brands increased by 44% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 93.5 thousand units. At once, half of the secondary market of Chinese used cars is accounted for by cars under the age of three years inclusive.
