Russia and Afghanistan have built very good coordination on security issues. This was announced on July 1 by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov.
"We have very good coordination, it is established in different senses of the word, at different levels," he said, answering a question from TASS about the coordination of the two countries in the field of security.
In addition, Kabulov also noted that the Russian Federation needs to support the Afghan authorities in the fight against terrorism.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said on May 16 that Russia aims to develop bilateral economic cooperation with Afghanistan. According to him, Russia is convinced that the development and stability of Afghanistan "meet the interests of the entire Eurasian region."
